The Court of Nature

A woman's journey through betrayal

By Rohitha LankaPublished 9 months ago 1 min read

It took me a while to understand that

I chose love as a chicken...

I endured a lot of things because I couldn't turn back...

I was very lonely in a house where no one could find out if I ate or drank...

I was always beaten by his cheating girlfriend.

I couldn't bear the beatings he gave me when

I was about to have a child. Even when

I got it, when the doctor said that the child was gone, my heart broke with a stream of tears...

To cover it all up, my in-laws and sisters-in-law played a wonderful game.

I wasn't careful when I said that. I walked around in a daze and complained to the hospital police.

Yes, no matter what happens to me, I will do justice to my child. I am strong. I thought...

Not only the husband,

the husband's wife and the husband's mother-in-law were also defendants in my case...

While talking about money,

the lawyers they hired told stories about my missing child...

They made a wife a prostitute and made the child a prostitute

And won the case...

When we were beaten up,

The husband came with the wife and told jokes and

When the mother-in-law and sister-in-law laughed,

I looked at the ground in disbelief...

As I was about to leave,

I turned back and looked at the courthouse again...

A loud noise

I also ran to the road in a hurry.

It was the car that our husbands had come in, right?

I ran quickly...

The people there shouted for help,

to take them away.

Their car was a tipper truck.

The mother-in-law and sister-in-law were crushed right there...

I was looking at the body of the man with both legs missing and his new wife's head crushed...

With a light drizzle, a flower from a nearby Mayflower tree fell on me...

Yes, the environment told me that the verdict of the Court of Nature was correct...
