The Conection

A poem by Belinda Baker

By Belinda BakerPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

We all yearn for it.

We all Look for it .

We all need it.

That human conection.

Not on phone or computer.

Face to face.

Heart to heart.

Soul to soul.

Person to person.

Speaking and listening.

Sharing and caring.

Knowing and understanding.

Passing on idea's and wisdom.

Thoughts and feelings.

It is essential to life.

It gives warmth and meaning.

A feeling that you are not alone.

Of being heard and seen.

Not invisable or solitary.

Knowing that we are connected.

All part of a greater humanity.

Joined by a delicately intricate thread.

So easy to lose or break in our busy world.

Getting caught up in the merry go round.

A never ending cycle of rush and activity.

Is it any wonder so many feel so loney?.

More disconected than ever before.

It is very much time well spent.

Something you will never regret that you did.

Taking time for real human connections.

Keeping them maintained and in repair.

It is too late once the connection has been lost.

Appreciate and enjoy those moments.

Of shared tears and laughter.

The exchange of thoughts, idea's and stories.

Of memories created to take with you always.

For these are some of the treasures of life.
