The Coming of Autumn

a poem

By Mark GrahamPublished 4 years ago 1 min read
Autumn tree (my own)

Oh, what a glorious season;

Sunny and bright blue skies,

puffy white clouds,

changing leaves- red, green, yellow, orange.

brisk winds blowing

leaves falling

twirling,

swirling,

flipping and flopping

softly landing on soft green grass.

Birds flying south and squirrels collecting nuts.

Getting ready for the winter by

raking leaves,

harvesting the garden,

canning the goods.

Jumping in a pile of leaves and

just having fun till the

snow flies and having fun in other ways.

Ode to a glorious season, but

why does it seem to go so quick as if

blowin' in the wind and maybe you will

find your answers to all during this

season of leaves.
