The colour of love

If love was a colour what would it be?

By Katharine RogersPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

If love was a colour what would it be?

Not red like the rose. That's just romance.

Nor unicorn pink. Too fluffy, too nice.

Not even black, like the darkest night.

Though it feels that way sometimes.

Purple is fine for royalty, but not for love.

Maybe blue like the ocean?

It could be. That’s close.

But I think it’s yellow, like the sun.

Yellow like the blooming of the daffodils in spring.

Yellow like the warmth of the sun’s rays on my skin.

Yellow like a mellow afternoon.

See, even mellow yellow works for love.

Roses are red.

Violets are blue.

Love is yellow.

And you know it's true.
