Start The colors of chronic illness and pain
By Brianna Sharp.
From the outside a pale yellow, normal nothing, a smudge in a crowd.
Red thumps behind my eyes as my heart beats fast fast faster, the medicine fails, and my heartbeat is too loud.
White lightning shoots through my muscles and bones.
Dark looks shoot my way when seemingly out of no where I let out a few grones.
Blue scrubs walk by, white coats swish, and silver needles flash, but they all fail.
Green fills my soul as sickness sets in another infusion, more blood taken, all to no avail.
