You won’t see this sight for too much longer.  The iconic clock, which is situated in the Elizabeth Tower, is widely known as Big Ben, however, Big Ben is actually the bell, not the clock or the tower.

At present, it is having a clean up and refurbishment.  In order for this to be completed, it has lots of scaffolding around it, so the workmen can access it from the outside.

As you will see, I took this photo at almost 9.30pm and I loved the contrast in light that was illuminating the clock face and the scaffolding to the right of it.
