The Clockmaker's Secret

How he mends more than just time

By The 9x FawdiPublished 2 months ago 1 min read

In a small shop on a quiet street,

where time and patience often meet,

an old man works with gentle hands,

repairing clocks from distant lands.

His shelves are full of tick and tock,

of ancient grandfather and cuckoo clock,

each with a story they could tell,

of wedding days or funeral bell.

But here's the secret few folks know -

the reason that the customers go

to him when all their hope is lost,

no matter what the repair cost.

He doesn't just fix gears and springs,

or make the chime that sweetly sings.

He mends the memories tied to time,

and makes the broken moments rhyme.

The watch that stopped when father died,

he fixes with a tearful pride.

The clock that marked a baby's birth,

the most important hour on earth.

The kitchen timer, burned and old,

that made the family stories told.

The station clock that lovers met,

a moment no one could forget.

So when you hear his clocks all chime,

in perfect, beautiful time,

remember that he's mending more

he's healing hearts behind the door.
