I close my eyes, and you come alive,
Vivid sceneries of a place where I used to thrive.
Never did I know you'd be called home,
Before you, I wandered, always alone.
In 2019, I took a chance on you,
Packed our bags, drove with my crew.
Sixteen hours over mountains high,
Your lights at night are like the stars in the sky.
Leaving behind a place so reserved,
Vegas, you gave me more than I deserved.
You opened my mind, made me see,
The world as it is - no smoke, just reality.
From Snoop at Drai's to Legacy's heights,
Reggae and movies on rooftops, unforgettable nights.
Red Rock Canyon and Neon Streets,
Vegas, you showed me a new world.
Seen history built before my eyes,
The Sphere, the Arch, your endless rise.
From pools to concerts, monorail rides,
You became the place where joy resides.
But I left, returned to my roots,
Now I miss your charm, your endless pursuits.
The streets, the lights, the buzzing sound,
I thought I'd be fine, but now I'm bound.
Bound by memories I can't replace,
A longing for your warm embrace.
Though I left, it's you I crave,
Vegas, you're the life I want to save.
Even with the odds stacked against me,
You made me see I could be free.
Back to the beginning, but something's wrong,
Without you, life feels like a quiet song.
I wonder if I'll ever return,
For it's you, Vegas, for whom I yearn.
Wanting to come back, I don't know when,
But I hope you'll welcome me home again.
When that time comes, when paths align,
I hope your bright lights will still be mine.
To reignite the spark and let me shine.
