The Choices That We Make!

#whether I make good choices or bad, I now take responsibility for mine and accept it.

By Joanne BuckleyPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

Have you ever wanted to give,

Your thoughts some company?

To give them a friend who’ll listen,

To show them what you see.

To be there when they’re needed,

A shoulder to cry upon.

So then they can reassure you,

That you really do belong.

But sometimes they lie to you,

Don’t tell you the truth.

They make you think that it’s ok,

And that you won’t need proof.

They tell you what you want to hear,

It seems easier to bare.

And your just don’t see the logic,

Never bother to compare.

You just know it’s what you want to do,

Fuck what anyone thinks.

Even though you know it hurts them,

And you know your attitude stinks.

A week goes by and you start to see,

Just were you went wrong.

And in your head you start to put,

Things back where they belong.

In the right order,

You make a list from A to Z.

And accept what you’ve done,

Your eyes open to see.

Another bad choice,

You can’t take it back.

Once again you have wandered,

Slightly of the track.

All you can do is hope, if again,

Your thoughts betray you,

Pray you make a better choice,

And know the right thing to do.
