The Chantel’s
Very unrated group from the 50s

The Chantel’s-The group was established in the early 1950s by students attending St. Anthony of Padua Church and school in the Bronx’s. To me they are one of the best groups from that time period.
My favorite song they sing is called “look into my eyes” written by Richard and Vinnie Barrett. Back when real love ruled the world.
If you are reading this and have time today listen to these beautiful girls, from a time when love and music was pure. There voices sound so angelic.
The lyrics “Look in my eyes and tell me you love me
Tell me you want me, or darling I'll be gone (gone)
… Look in my eyes and tell me that you're the one for me
And that our love will always be or darling I'll be gone (gone)
… You still got time
So make up your mind
What's it to be? Do you want me?
I don't even mind a little touch
Have that love to be or darling set me free
… Look in my eyes and tell me you love me
Tell me you want me or darling I'll be gone (gone)
… Ooh, ooh-ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
Ooh, ooh-ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh”
Ooh, ooh-ooh
