Spotlights on

Flashing, electric

Fingers across the sky

Get ready

For the drum roll

And a deafening clap

A spectacle of nature’s might

Displaying her prowess

Dogs bark

Alarms go off

Trees fling themselves about

Now the finale

Water marches down

Blanketing the earth

Feeding the soil

Filling the lakes

And freshening the air

Plants drink it up

Birds sing their gratitude

Crickets rejoice

All is well

About the Creator

Natalie Parletta

I love how novels, stories, poetry open portals into other worlds, other journeys and experiences, how they can transcend, move, inspire, touch eternal truths; I strive to discover and share that in my writing. Thanks for reading :)
