The cage

standing in the void

What is this cage?

This cage I’m in

What is this life that neither starts nor ends?"

Where does it go

Where does it end

The cage is the blackness of the void I’m in

When does the void shift and move

The cage is the safeness of the room

The void is the fear that eats the light

Shutting out anything lively and bright

Looking for the stairs

The bridge that crosses the void

Looking for the highway to freedom

The road less travelled

The freedom flight

Any way out of the cage that holds tight

The cage sitting in the heart of the void

The cage in the infinite unknown of life

But what is this life what is this cage

What is this void that wraps it all in a safe space

Standing on the edge of this cage looking out.
