The build up

Eyes of self-reflection

Why do you do what you do?

We ask ourselves this question—

never fully satisfied with the answer,

changing reasons like seasons,

just to ease our conscience.

Denying a lack of effort

is a dangerous drug,

feeding complacency,

stalling progress,

and hiding from reality’s face.

Face fear like it’s a joke,

laugh it off—

shed the doubt inside

that chains you from taking risks

where dreams begin.

Break free from your shallow ego,

expand the limits

of what you’ve always believed to be true.

Fight the safety net—

growth can’t thrive in comfort.

Yet hesitation only strengthens

the habits that hold you back,

even as they demand more from you.

So, why hold back
