I saw a bird with a broken wing,

Struggling to fly, unable to sing.

Its feathers were ruffled, its eyes so sad,

I couldn't help but feel so bad.

I approached it with gentle care,

And slowly picked it up with a prayer.

I held it close, feeling its warmth,

And wondered how it would transform.

I took it home and made a bed,

With a soft blanket and some bread.

I watched it closely, day and night,

Hoping it would take to flight.

Days turned into weeks, and the bird,

Began to heal, it seemed to have heard,

The love and care that we had shown,

And decided to make this place its own.

It learned to fly, and even sing,

Its broken wing was now a thing,

Of the past, a distant memory,

And we watched it soar, wild and free.

This little bird, with a broken wing,

Taught me a lesson, about everything,

The power of love, the strength to heal,

And how a small act of kindness can seal,

A bond between two different beings,

And help them soar on joyful wings.

For in this world, we all need care,

And love is the answer, it's always there.
