The Boy Without a Name

A boy without a name cannot exist.

By Breanna CrespinPublished 8 years ago 1 min read

The boy who never had a name will never be given a grave

The boy who was taken away will never have a home to return to

The boy who was alone will never be remembered

The boy; shaken, twisted, and afraid has nothing left to live for

And yet, he lives to see daylight once more

The sun rises, the clouds flow, and the wind blows

His brown eyes set staring at the waves

And the sand gripped to his toes

He had never seen the ocean before

Without a family, friends, or an identity, he felt damaged

But as a red crab skipped across the white sand, the boy realized something

No matter if he's dead, alive, or nothing at all, he was still something

A part of this earth

One with everything around him

And too true to be ignored

Upon the wet surface were his imprinted footsteps only to be quickly washed away by the current

But he too noticed

That he had made his mark upon this earth at one time

Even if it were to have disappeared

Just as he did
