The Blue Skyscraper - MUNAZHE

Believe it or not, the only work done to this photo was angled cropping to bring out its elegant ambiance. I took it on my iPhone when I thought, why not go for a bike ride nearby. Naturally, I am a minimalist at heart, so seeing such beauty in capturing angles that draw you in like this one, is a match made in heaven.

Nature and it's "predecessor."

As I'm writing this, I'm listening to Beethoven, looking at this photo's deep blues and calm state. So bold yet so subtle and striking.

Reminds me of the Titanic ship sinking, except this time, it's a building sinking into the earth. This shows, humanity can never exceed nature, our creation won't always be around.

We can't restructure the canvas we can only add color to it.

I call it the blue skyscraper because there were no clouds or anything that could distract my phone from capturing such elegance.

This speaks to me because you never know what you can find in ordinary life. The things we take for granted in life are worth a 1000 words, pulling the trigger to capture a story with no motion.

Not just the ordinary

Just to think that humans live in this building, and it's a photo. It speaks volumes and makes me wonder.

What are things in life we've taken for granted as usual?

Like the times we looked at the cloud and thought nothing of it, now that we are adults. Yet when we were children, we'd spend the whole day naming each cloud according to its shape.

The subway we board is a metaphor—a metaphor of what goes on in our bodies. We are the blood, and the train is the veins connecting the cities one stop. As blood, we are vital to the survival of the body--the city.

Does it make the city a microcosmic body? Does it make this building a microcosm and a macrocosm at the same time? Like a double entendre, it's rare to see things in nature that give a double meaning like this.

A king falling to his demise

Sometimes we stand next to those that represent us well, and we start to stand out more than them. We fall back and look down at the ground to shine more light on who holds the light in hopes of being the light. Is it the streets or the light bearer?

That building is like us when we think we shine too bright. When we think we stick out too much like a sore thumb, so we burry our image in the negativity without knowing how to develop.

Our souls are light sources that pave the way for our ancestors that passed down the torch billion years ago, and we march for them to bring them to their destiny.

This image is a metaphor for a king falling to his demise because he let the pen slide for the night. It's an image of King David spending the night with Bathsheba sacrificing his men's victory.

After you've laid it all down.

You've worked your ass off, and you want nothing but rest, there is an oasis for that.

Lastly, this image reminds me of my past. The day I tried to commit suicide. The night I was injured, and no one was out to help me. The time my parents left me for dead to raise my self as a young little boy.

And still rose up, because like I mentioned earlier with pictures developing from the negative, this is me. The building that looks like it's tumbling into the ground. Yet it's rising from the ground to meet the sunset for the first time.

This here is peculiar to what I mean The Oasis--Rest. We all need to unplug sometimes to appreciate the little things in life and reflect on the past to build a healthier and better tomorrow from our memories.
