Absurdity rules
Rules for thee and not for me,
the bane of our world of cheats.
Full of excuses,
the judge confuses
their misdeeds and the law concedes.

This limerick is a rant about the breakdown of law and order in our society, cities, classroom, homes, etc. Something has to change or we are headed for chaos. It’s open to interpretation as it can apply to many things.

I love it. Double standards are everywhere as well as people who will do whatever it takes to get ahead no matter whose back they have to step on to get there. There’s so much said here and so many ways to interpret. It’s quite sad really because that means we have a lot of broken systems. No matter where you go in the world these days there is injustice and abuse of power. I think it’s always been that way and we’re just now realizing it because of social media and people speaking out. It seems like everything needs reform at this point lol and now my comment is longer than the limerick I’m commenting on and also needs reform😅 well done!
