Into the blank ocean

To delve within its deep

Rapturous currents dance over my skin

I see warm, almond eyes refracting through the blue

When I drowned

You swallowed me in wonder

Holding me close that I might soar

And return to the surface

To hear you as muffled memory,

a gentle mystery once more

The warm rays of a gentle Sun

Call to slumber a beloved night

Although we became spiegel im spiegel

Divine wisdom made the infinite finite

As daylight fails not to disintegrate

The dark into the breath of nostalgia

sad poetry

About the Creator

Priyanka Thomas

I enjoy crafting journeys that explore and communicate real experiences through poetic prose. I want my readers, as well as myself, to ride on the mode of strung words to arrive in a new, unforeseen place. Let’s take this creative journey.
