The Black Panther

A poem

The hunters quit their banter

And removed the scanner

They had been tried in wander

Oh, the foul men from the gutter

Who were seeking grander

And feasts in the summer

Were there to shoot a panther

"Oh forefather"

One prayed, "Help us catch the panther"

The panther looked at them in ponder

He had seen them earlier

As they came nearer

He knew they were lesser

And how tasty they would be in flavour

He lay lower in manoeuvre

Silent to catch a breather

Sleek like a dancer

Moves like a tiptoer

Claws like from a sharpener

Eyes even sharper

He then jumped like a springer

And pounced on them like a raptor

They screamed like a creature

Then shook in tremor

Before going silent in shudder

Always the winner,

Never play with the black panther

The jungle's godfather
