A look into birds.

A peacock who is vain

A duck happy in the rain.

A raven who’s heart is black

An owl going in for the attack.

An ostrich who pecks the runt

A seagull who’s on the hunt.

A hummingbird who beats so fast

An albatross’s wings are very vast.

A bluejay who thinks he’s 'cool’

A cuckoo who’s very cruel.

A crow with a creaky voice

A robin with a difficult choice.

An eagle that says ‘hi!”

(A mouse that says ‘bye!”)

A chicken sitting in a brood

A magpie in a bad mood.

A sparrow singing a song

And a chickadee within a throng.

(I am currently celebrating my 1st year anniversary on vocal. It’s been 1 year since my oldest story on vocal has been published. The Epic Poem of Raymond. May 24th. And from that humble beginnings, I’ve felt like my writing has really grown, and my horizons have really expanded. Like most people I joined because of the chance to win $10,000 from the Fantasy Prologue Challenge, (I wanted to join since the Return of the Night Owl) and that since then I’ve been writing for over challenges and/or just for fun. I’ve had the privilege to share my vocal experience with many talented writers:

Veronica Coldiron

Mariann Carroll

Mike Singleton (Mikeydred)

Cosimo Crupi

Gina C

HandsomelouiiThePoet (Lonzo ward)

Cathy Holmes

Dharrsheena Raja Segarran

And so many, many more.

Good luck to all of you, and heres to 1 year more! 🍸)
