Once, there was a bird and a fish,
would you guess that they both had a wish?
The bird wished to live in the sea with the fish.
The fish wished to fly in the air,
with the bird, without a care.
They had fallen in love one day,
that day had turned bright, instead of gray.
But, as many love stories go,
their love was impractical to stow.
Until they found a crevice in a cave,
that promised, their love, to save.
The bird stretched his wing,
the fish stretched her fin, affection to bring.
Without their aunties judging eyes, they could finally be alone,
their bodies close together, uniquely sewn.
Every day, they met at half past seven,
and their time together, felt just like Heaven.

This is so mesmerizingly beautiful and romantic lol💗
Oh, those aunties.... always there to try to squash a perfectly good fairytale!
Almost has an Asian tragic tale feeling to it. Very nice.
Such a sweet, whimsical love story! The concept of a bird and a fish in love is so unique—it feels like a fairy tale! Love it.✨
This poem is a beautiful metaphor, love can blossom even where everything seems impossible. Your poem is wonderful.😊✨
