The Beauty of the Wild
A Poem Celebrating the Wonders of Nature
Amidst the chaos and the rush
Of city life, with all its fuss,
We forget the peace that's found
In forests, rivers, fields and ground.
The rustle of the leaves in breeze,
The gentle sway of towering trees,
The chirping birds that flit and fly,
The soaring peaks that touch the sky.
The rolling waves that crash and roar,
The sandy beaches we adore,
The salty air that fills our lungs,
The seagulls' cries, their joyful tongues.
The earthy scent of rain on soil,
The starry sky that makes us boil
With wonder, awe, and pure delight,
As we bask in nature's light.
The hidden streams that flow and wind,
The wildflowers that bloom and bind
The hillsides in a rainbow hue,
A sight that's pure and rare and true.
And in these moments we are one,
With nature's majesty undone,
Our souls are cleansed, our hearts made light,
As we bask in nature's sight.
So let us cherish and protect
The gifts that nature does project,
For in her bounty we can find
The peace that calms our restless mind.
