The desert stretches far, with its endless sands,

A place of beauty, that's hard to understand,

The sun beats down, with its scorching heat,

A world of wonder, that's hard to beat.

The beauty of the desert, a world so harsh,

A place of life, that's ever so sparse,

The cacti stand tall, with their prickly arms,

A sight so unique, it's hard to disarm.

The desert is alive, with all its creatures,

From the smallest insects, to the largest features,

The lizards bask, in the noonday sun,

A sight so peaceful, it's hard to shun.

The beauty of the desert, a place of peace,

A place to wander, and to find release,

The stars shine bright, in the velvet night,

A place of beauty, that's hard to fight.

The desert is a world, so full of life,

A place to explore, and to forget the strife,

The sand dunes rise, with their shifting shapes,

A place of beauty, that's hard to escape.

The beauty of the desert, a world so raw,

A place of magic, that's hard to withdraw,

The wind whistles, through the barren lands,

A place of wonder, that's always at hand.
