the beauty of practicality at last

~ ` ~ ` ~

By Rowan Finley Published 11 months ago Updated 11 months ago 1 min read

Her waxing story

drips down the sides of our ears.

We hear of how she lived most of her life by the china cups and plates.

She was kept for the purpose of decoration and beauty,

but she longed desperately to finally burn.

After years of faithful poise and praise from the cabinet,

matches sparked her attention and they felt lit-erally liberating.

The long-sought-after-sacrifice that she always wanted to provide,

was no longer hidden,

she become smitten with the experience of it all,

as she'd stepped into the beauty of practicality at last!

Some of us want to be considered "decoration and beauty", but that fades, and purpose and practicality becomes the new " beauty" A lovely tribute to a candle that many would consider ugly, but you have given her new life and a chance to cast her light. 😊✨☀️😁

Oh, I love this! The line “matches sparked her attention” is chef’s kiss!✨ Do you ever feel like some things (or people) are just meant for more than decoration?
