The Beauty Of Age

English

By Ken Clepper Published 2 years ago 1 min read

"It's a shame to live in a kingdom where our generation fears aging. We're led to believe that every wrinkle is a beauty mark lost, so we're discouraged from embracing our natural appearance. It's alarming to see young girls seeking potions and creams to alter their features, spending more than they can afford to chase an unattainable standard of beauty. The emotional toll of this pursuit is ignored, and those who speak out against it are silenced.

I dared to challenge this notion in the Town Square, and the queen accused me of poisoning minds. She declared me the Castle's Joker, forcing me to face my fate or conform to societal expectations. I refused, proudly declaring that I look forward to living a long life, accumulating wrinkles and gray hairs as badges of honor. My face will tell the story of my journey, with every line, freckle, and scar serving as a reminder of my triumphs and struggles.

I wear my imperfections as armor, refusing to hide the evidence of my adventures, falls, and healing. My stretch marks are a testament to my growth, and my gray hairs are medals earned from every challenge overcome. If this makes me a fool in the eyes of the king's court, then I proudly wear the Jester's hat. Sincerely, a proud advocate for the elegance of aging."
