Age is but a number they say,
A measure of time that's slipped away,
A count of years that we've been here,
And memories that we hold dear.
With age comes wisdom, it is true,
A deeper understanding of life's hue,
Lessons learned along the way,
Guiding us through each new day.
The wrinkles on our skin may show,
The stories that we have to know,
The laughter, tears, and all we've been,
The joys, the sorrows, and everything in between.
Our bodies may not be as strong,
As they were when we were young,
But our hearts remain as vibrant,
As when we first began this journey.
So let us not fear the passing years,
For they bring us closer to what's dear,
Let us embrace the wisdom they bring,
And cherish each and every thing.
