This round and doughy treat,

A morning meal I cannot ignore,

The bagel is simply sweet.

Toasted, buttered, and cream-cheesed,

Or piled high with smoked salmon,

The bagel never fails to please,

My taste buds always cravin’.

From New York to Montreal,

This pastry is widely known,

No matter where it’s sold,

Its deliciousness is shown.

So let’s give a cheer,

For this tasty baked good,

The bagel we all hold dear,

Enjoyed as much as we could.
