The Babbling Gob
Fear not the dogs who bark at night
Treat them good, they will not bite.
The bark of trees protects its tough
What how you touch, it feels so rough.
Too much drinking is bad for the head
Try God’s pure water instead.
Don’t let my babbling ruin your day
One day soon we will be wed, ok?
A chicken clucks but lays no plan
It doesn’t dream of being man.
A fox will grin, a cat will flee
Not every friend will climb your tree.
The bread you share is bread that stays
The ones who scoff will dodge your praise.
I’ll sweep the path and scrub the floor
If you say yes, I’ll ask no more.
Don’t trust the smile that hides a knife
Some sweet talk stings more than a wife.
The wind can whisper or it can shout
It finds its way, with or without.
The moon won’t beg, the stars don’t cry
hold your chin when nights go dry.
So now I say, this is the end
A poem of nothing just breathed-in shite
