Our rebellion, indifference, unforgiveness

The epiphany of knowing that

It's a timeless owner's manual of us

To keep us running smoothly

To troubleshoot

And repair

Our inner selves

So much information You've given

Metaphors, parables, scenarios

All dedicated to higher learning

With a single textbook

Oh, how well You know us

You autographed my baby book

Before I ever came into being

I'd recognize Your signature anywhere

It's written across my heart

Your pen is my path

Your ink is my life

I see my imperfections loudly

But You say "stop using a mirror

to define you"

The height chart You drew

on Your wall for me

Stopped at five feet to my dismay but

You pointed to Your book

And told me I'd slay giants with nothing

But Faith

That I'd be twelve feet tall and bulletproof

By design

It took me a long time to come

To the door with apologies for

Being so late but

You said I was right on time

Right down to the second

Because it was Your timing all along

You were counting down to the day

That I saw it all in person

Because You already knew

You're checking off every event

That You've written already for me

And I did say " send me, I'll go"

You had already pressed into me

Your embossed seal

On my soul

You are the author of my

Yesterday

Today

Tomorrow.
