In the tapestry of life, threads intertwine,
Some we can weave, others we must resign.
I focus on the strands within my grasp,
And gently release those beyond my clasp.
Take pen to paper, draw two columns clear,
"Can Control" on one side, "Cannot" here.
Which list grows longer as you contemplate?
Pause and reflect on each item's weight.
When faced with challenges seemingly grand,
Ask: "Is this truly beyond my command?"
Or might a subtle shift in perspective
Reveal a power once thought ineffective?
We cannot dictate others' thoughts or deeds,
But our own actions can plant powerful seeds.
In the garden of life, tend what you can grow,
Let go of the weeds that are not yours to sow.
Remember those who faced history's darkest hour,
In camps where choice seemed stripped of all power.
Yet even there, in that abyss of pain,
Some found inner strength, a flame to maintain.
Our trials may pale against such extreme tests,
But each challenge shapes the person in our breast.
Believe in the power of your inner voice,
In every moment, you have the gift of choice.
Embrace what you can change, accept what you cannot,
Find peace in this wisdom, so dearly bought.
For in the realm of mind, where true freedom lies,
You hold the key to your own paradise.
Live fully, love deeply, with each passing day,
For in this choice, your truest power holds sway.
