The Aroma of the City After the Rain

A Poetic Celebration of Nature's Cleansing Power

By Finola bozlarPublished 3 years ago 1 min read

The smell of pavement after the rain,

A scent that brings back memories again.

Of childhood days and summer nights,

Where everything was bathed in neon lights.

The city awakens with a fresh new breath,

As the rain washes away the grime and death.

A symphony of nature's cleansing power,

That leaves the streets with a fragrant shower.

The sound of drops on concrete and glass,

A lullaby to soothe the city's mass.

A moment of peace in a hectic place,

Where the hustle and bustle slowly starts to fade.

The scent of the pavement after the rain,

A perfume that invokes both pain and gain.

Of lost loves and broken dreams,

But also hope that someday it'll gleam.

So let us stand and take a deep inhale,

And allow the rain to soothe and heal.

For in this moment, let us be still,

And feel the magic of the pavement's chill.

And as the rain subsides, and the night takes hold,

The city will come alive with stories untold.

Of triumphs and struggles, of laughter and tears,

And the smell of the pavement after the rain will linger for years.
