The Angel by the Fire
A glimpse of God’s messenger

Just as the world tilts forward one night
I rise from my rest to the fire's soft light.
The flames spring steady their warmth holding near
A silence surrounds me with no sound to hear.
The room feels common the moment feels plain
No thought in my head no burden no chain.
The crackle of fire the shadows that bend
The peace suggests that the night has no end.
But then I turn and the silence is torn
The moment is shifted the ordinary worn.
For there in the room by the glass standing tall
An angel appears and it silences all.
Its wings are alive each feather a flame
With thousands of colors no tongue could name.
Like water and fire they ripple and flow
A living display in a radiant glow.
Its robe is in motion though no wind is near
Waves of pure brilliance both distant and near.
Each fold shines with light as though heaven had cast
A vision too holy for moments to last.
I cannot move nor can I breathe
The fire still burns though my eyes won't leave.
The world falls away both the walls and the floor
In my presence I start to feel my God even more.
Then suddenly gone in a breath and a blink
The vision is taken as fast as a wink.
But the moment remains the fire still glows
The truth of what happened my spirit still knows.
For just as the world tilts forward I see
God is showing his messenger speaking to me.

I mostly write from raw events and spiritual encounters. True stories shaped by pain, clarity, and moments when God felt close. Each piece is a reflection of what I have lived, what I have learned, and what still lingers in the soul.
