The agony, in her life.
She is going through a lot.
Anguish and sorrow are her daily meals.
Nonetheless, she conceals the pain.
She hides her anguish and despair.
Her gut shakes, because her soul has been shredded.
She pushes everyone out of her life.
She says she's OK; she simply needs privacy.
She is on fire within and living a lie
with the continual sin of concealing the truth
Standing alone in a cage, searching for a way out.
Her life is being progressively consumed by unending distress.
She's burning from within, with a dark cloud looming above her.
She has no idea how long she will be here; she feels like a sinner.
However, she is stuck by life's circumstances.
When will it end? The Lord must change her circumstances.

Day 4 of Quitting
If this is how sobriety feels, maybe it’s better to go through life a little buzzed… this, along with other hits like, I want to kill myself, I wish I was dead, and I’m going to throw myself off a bridge have been the only thoughts on rotation these past few days. I promise myself that if, in a month, I still feel like this (‘this’ meaning despondent, full of rage, and simultaneously numb) I can go back to smoking. Until mid-February though? Nicotine is off the table.
