The 365 Muse Jar Project 2025
365 days of randomly prompted poetry
2025...
I'm not sure that I quite believe it. I feel like I have lived 5 individual life times since the madness of 2020. So much has happened. So much has changed. It's been extraordinary - in good ways, and in bad.
Perhaps the biggest good is that I have quit wasting time not pursuing my passions. And this past year (2024) I began to fall in love again with writing. I started to grow, to find my voice as a poet, and most importantly, to believe in myself again.
I was awarded two "Top Story" awards through this platform, Vocal, which really fueled me to buckled down and dive in to this passion.
I decided that my New Year's Resolution, if you call it that, is to continue to grow. I'm going to do this in a very unique and creative way. I have made myself a muse jar!
The muse jar is just a pretty jar that I got off of Amazon that I filled with 365 small strips of paper and wrote down 365 poetry prompts onto them. The idea is, starting Jan 1, I will randomly draw one prompt, and then sit down and write and publish a poem around that prompt. And if you love to write and you want to participate in this challenge along with me - I encourage you to do this as well!
I hope you'll read them - and even if you don't love them, that you'll see a reflection of something familiar in them, or learn something about me from the words. And if you're following along - I hope you'll learn something deep and meaningful about yourself.
If you do join me in this challenge be sure to comment with your work - I'd love to read it and support you!
NOTE: This project will be for paid subscribers <3
