Rizz is the 2023 word of the year for Oxford. The only photo from Unsplash to choose from for the word was the photo above. One photo!

Now what does Rizz mean? If you are a younger person, you may know! I had to look it up. Rizz is short for charisma. It means to woo or charm a person and they are especially talented at attracting their love interest, according to two definitions. today.com and parade.com

My ten-year-old grandson says he has heard mainly sixth graders saying, "I'm going to rizz you up!" But he says everyone at his school knows what it means.

My thoughts on Rizz:

Who in my life has the Rizz

My honey has the rizz and he gives me the bizz

He is always so busy

he makes me dizzy

~

Charisma to the max for me

He will always be

the one for me, he

my hubby,

my honey bee!

Too gooey?

~

He’s a hard-working fellow

Most of the time mellow

He loves orange jello

with fruit and marshmallow

~

Too silly, shall we go another way?

The attraction was like no other, I say

he loves to play

sometimes all-day

~

I could travel a mile

for his smile

or thousands of miles

for all those smiles

~

He is my guy for laughter

I will love him ever after

we laugh all of the time

and he is excellent with rhyme

~

He has the look

I can read him like a book

He had the hook

to get me to cook

~

He is in recovery

we have both made that discovery

He says he is living his dream

I know he eats lots of ice cream

~

That is not what he meant

he is talking about retirement

and his life with me

how could it be

anything else but his due entitlement
