The 2020 Pandemic:COVID-19

Meaningful Interactions while Socially Distant

By TRoss30Published 5 years ago 1 min read

2020 will be a year to remember

We’ve been socially distancing and quarantining and now it’s September

6 months so far with little to no personal interactions

All meetings, events, and conversations as web-based actions

How can we as a society maintain our sense of belonging

When we now rely on social media as our cry of calling

Connecting online because in-person isn’t safe

Always six feet apart, even when face-to-face

Half of our faces covered by masks

Covering smiles, emotions, and even our laughs

Giving birth, getting married, or in the hospital sick and all alone

Just longing for the comfort of family and friends, and not just on the phone

Will life ever return to the way of the past?

How long will this pandemic of 2020 last?

When this is all over, I hope we all see

We need to cherish the moments in life with glee

Nothing in life is promised or certain

Don’t hide emotions or feelings behind a thick curtain

Wear your heart on your sleeve, and share your true feelings with all

As we never know when our time will be called

Life is too precious, to let time just slip by

Find purpose in everything and always ask why

Question the future, the past, or the present

Ask all the questions you have and you’ll never regret it

The world is full of answers, but we must seek them with lust

A question not asked, will always be a bust

We are all one human race and need to stick together

This pandemic will end, it cannot last forever
