It’s that crushed petal—
Silken touch presently gone
That I fondle
Beneath quivering fingertips
It’s no more silken
Rather twisted
And crumbled
Through something
Far greater
That its fragile beauty
Couldn’t compete with
But
That’s what I like—
That crushed petal—
Silken touch presently gone
Beneath my gentle touch
For that’s
What my crushed heart
Silken touch presently gone
Feels like too
For its been twisted
And crumbled
Through something
Far greater
Called life and reality
Too

A beautiful expression of loss and resilience. Well Done!!
A beautifully raw expression of loss and resilience—life’s crushing weight, yet the quiet acceptance of its impact.
I felt this so deeply with so few words. Masterful writing. Keep going!
