Thank you Shop workers
As Im standing here and queuing, on my weekly shopping trip
I ponder on the changes, on how we’ve altered it
The queues outside are lengthy, we are stood quite far apart
It will be a while, before the shopping starts
The staff are being so helpful, telling people where to go
Clear indications everywhere, incase you didn’t know
They’ve go better stocks of items, now that people have calmed down
And even though their worried too, staff never seem to frown
It’s actually quite simple, these things they’ve put in place
They’re just here to protect you, so don’t wear a grumpy face
Shops staff are just heroes, ones that aren’t yet sung
So please don’t keep on moaning, about the things that they have done
They’ve families too, children, just like you and me
But whilst we need our shopping , they’re here for you and me
So thank you unsung heroes, whether stacking shelves or on the tills
Whether a cleaner in the aisles or pharmacist dispatching pills
You’re doing this to help us, and that we understand
So thank you all shop workers, at risk for us across the land
