In every breath, your name I find,
A whisper soft, yet it entwines,
A thread that binds me close to you,
In every thought, in all I do.
Your presence lingers in my soul,
A piece of me that makes me whole,
But with it comes a gentle ache,
For fear of what I cannot take.
I cling to shadows you leave behind,
Your absence fills my restless mind,
In every glance, I seek your face,
To feel your warmth, to find my place.
Yet love that grips so tight, so near,
Breeds trembling joy, and quiet fear,
For in this bond, I start to see,
I’ve lost myself while loving thee.
But still, I hold, I cannot part,
Tethered close, bound by the heart,
For love like this, both sweet and wild,
Is both a prison and a child.
