Heavy Rain...

The torrential rain pounds against my bedroom window.

It blows and rages as if filled with fury.

The frenzied wind violently shakes the poor trees.

Then, suddenly, a powerful, deafening bolt of lightning flashes through the room, its blinding light slicing across my bed.

Terrified, I jolt awake, trembling, and touch my body—I was alive. Still alive.

That dreadful lightning strike had felled a tree near the house, its wrath fierce and unrelenting.

That nightmare kept me awake for a long time. My eyes remained fixed on the window, watching the relentless rain crash against it without end.

Whoa, this one’s intense! The storm’s energy really pulls you in, and that twist with the lightning hit hard. Solid, atmospheric piece!
