There are things I would never say out loud

Pieces of curious thoughts of which I am proud

The thoughts may seem foreign. They take time to learn.

I hope you will be interested in the slow burn.

*

On Midsummer’s day, in 1667, at Royal Abbey port

the Paris Meridian Arc Line marked time for Louis Quatorze’s court.

Called Rose or Ley lines, they are associated with the Eye of Ra,

and hint at wisdom of the tree of life, shared in the Kabbalah.

*

These Ley lines are perceived by many beasts,

detected by dowsers, respected by architects and inspected by priests.

Geomancers use hypothetical diagonal Curry lines

that run along checkerboard Hartman lines.

Ley lines follow the archaic roads called the cursus.

They are said to be traced throughout the earth’s surface.

Here, Ghosts move along the straight Corpse roads without barriers

to hinder the dead not forgotten, and their spirit carriers.

*

However, measurable telluric lines exist. They have wavelengths that vary.

They are widest at the full moon. Perhaps they are the spirit’s ferry.

Mysticism and science, shrouded in secrecy are misinterpreted, or worse.

Difficult to grasp concepts hold a nefarious power to threaten or curse.

*

Patterns are sometimes seen where they do not exist

and humanity needs to test what the true really is.

You have passed through door two

Carry onto door three to connect this thought to the screw.

About the Creator

Katherine D. Graham

My stories usually present facts, supported by science as we know it, that are often spoken of in myths. Both can help survival in an ever-changing world.
