Tell Me the Labels that You Reject Too
An acrostic poem

Several slanders suited
Take your pick
Understandably wounded
Pieced back together quick
Ignorance presented to you as bliss
Detrimental remarks can’t be dismissed
Watchful minds so selective
Humans always judging
Or is it just perspective
Remembering someone’s something
Even though, you can’t really know
Sometimes stars long to shine
Know it’s fine if they’re grey
Impressive has left its sign
Not on me I’m afraid
Now let us move onward
Yesterday was torture
Fortunately, I’m okay
As a friend has set me free
Told me today, that I looked pretty
Carefully selecting my battles
Regardful of what’s worn on my sleeve
Anyone can see the scandals
Zanily trying to achieve
Yesterday’s wants turned future shackles
Wondering why we continue
Even though we are broken
Assistance was never the issue
Kindness viciously stolen
Uniquely made
Grotesquely dismayed
Lonely in this notion
Your emotions cautiously chosen
But nothing hurts more with these
Issues lying deep
Than the words that pour from
Clean hands turned cheap
How have you risen above?
