Technicolor Duck

Teal and Black

By errePublished 5 years ago 1 min read

BLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK!!!!

...is not my color. All the anguish in the 16 letter A’s used to convey the emotion of that word in written form, like the 16 shots that were sent through a boy, but were not mean for ‘em. Is pressed together in me, shot into my psyche, and then bled back to you in social media public forum in rhythm form.

Cut me and like my Savior, two colors pour out. Green and Blue. Logic tells us these colors represent MIDI and Audio so, on the inside, my blood is Teal. Black is not my color. I am Black. My color... my makeup... my DNA... is Teal. It’s all very artsy and color-fusing.

Through Teal, I channel the Black. The Teal lives on top of a gray background, but when it has the right bounce, Teal goes out into t e c h n i c o l o r. Teal is sound and sound is light so how can Teal possibly thrive in the anguish of being Black? It’s because Black isn’t all anguish. Black isn’t a single color. It’s all color, absorbed. Black is fiery Crimson passion, Black is brilliant Canary happiness, Black is intelligent cool Silver, Black is treasured as coveted Gold.

Teal was there before me, but it got its name from a bird. A duck, actually. Makes sense because before I knew why my color was Teal, I thought I was an ugly duckling. What I know now is some birds are white, some black, some are brown, some are yellow, and some are in between. But, only one was blessed by the Teal stripe and without my Teal, I’d just be another duck.
