Tea-Party Memories

Tea parties and tutus

Transformed to

Drunken dormouse echoes

On the perpetually set table

Of a forgotten spring

Spread with china teapots spouting

Fountains of guilt

Over a feast of bread and

Buttered time

Splashing on the trembling heads of

Hares, lapping up the

Bare ambitions lifting me

Heavenward in the blink of

The spotlight’s eye

Burning holes in the

Stage set for lunch

I dominate, reciting every

Known and unknown

Mistake

Twirling on a line of

Secret laws and

Death threats spun to

Silken thread

What Tea Party memories! I loved the tutus… never having been a dancer, they never entered my mind.🙃
