The tattoo artist met us in a loft of sorts above a barber shop.
Enthusiasm building, as if we might pop.
I remember lying down and wondering if it was too late to change my mind.
There was no wiggle room or turn back now sign.
The artist took the needle out,
and began designing the skin route.
Body just took the pain without flinching,
even though my heartbeat was wincing.
Then, she had a turn,
to have her skin burn.
Matching tattoos may never have been a good idea,
as the relationship with Sophia,
it didn’t last,
at least, not as long as this tattoo’s broadcast!

My kids never got one because they didn't like needles. Great poem! Well Done!!
Tattoos eh? I think they're cool.. Would never get one tho matching tattoos are cute hehe.. Well penned!
Oh ho ho ho - always what we warn the young ones about - that and how skin changes with weight and age, LOL Great job. I would be nervous but don’t want ink in me or on me - give me jewelry!! P. S. I have part 3 ready since … you know…
Ohh! That's crazy... I loved your start and the flow to your poem... The relationship with Sofia? lol... I don't know if I should laugh or not, but that "Lasting" part was too good! Tattoos won the trust but Sophie expired fast... 😃
Names are not great idea , but people put their current passion into their skin not looking forward. God says just don’t do it - He knew Sophia wasn’t going to be the one…😊🌸🌼🌺 “You shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor tattoo any marks on you: I am the Lord.” Leviticus 19:28 NKJV
Ohh! That's awesome! This is not just a physical experience but also deeply connected on a mental and emotional level. You have beautifully written about the process of getting a tattoo and a lovely relationship.✨🤝
Ohhhh! This poem is such a fun ride! From the excitement of getting inked to the oops moment when things don’t quite pan out—it’s all so relatable. Matching tattoos? Bold move! But hey, at least the tattoo lasted longer than Sophia, right?
