Tantrums At Bedtime

He stamped his feet upon the ground,

Then he screamed, Oh! What a sound.

He punched the wall with his hand,

Then screamed some more, just

like a hound.

He sobbed and sobbed, then shouted "no!'

"It's bedtime," I said,

"Will you go?"

He stomped upstairs, loud and proud,

Staring at me with a face like a dark cloud.

Just like an angel, he falls fast asleep,

But I know his tempers he will keep.

I pray to start the morning with glory,

But I can't help but wonder

Will it turn gory?

So, sleepy head I pray you peacefully nest,

But there is a nightmare that follows the rest.
