He stamped his feet upon the ground,
Then he screamed, Oh! What a sound.
He punched the wall with his hand,
Then screamed some more, just
like a hound.
He sobbed and sobbed, then shouted "no!'
"It's bedtime," I said,
"Will you go?"
He stomped upstairs, loud and proud,
Staring at me with a face like a dark cloud.
Just like an angel, he falls fast asleep,
But I know his tempers he will keep.
I pray to start the morning with glory,
But I can't help but wonder
Will it turn gory?
So, sleepy head I pray you peacefully nest,
But there is a nightmare that follows the rest.
Thank you for reading my poem which is based on the tantrums that my son used to throw at bedtime!
