Orange was the colour of a fruit
Orange tasted citrusy and sour
Orange was the shade I avoided
❀
And then I met you
With your tangerine t-shirt
❀
And now
Amber is the colour of a sunset
Spread across the sky in
Recognition of another day
Marigold is the colour of autumn leaves
Falling to the ground in a mosaic pattern
Coral is the colour of fire
Burning in the air between us
Apricot is the shade of blushing cheeks
Whenever you come near
Peach tastes sweet
Like contentment
❀
And tangerine is your t-shirt
That you wore when you
Turned my world upside down

Nice piece
Love this
This is fabulous!
Context is everything, especially when it turns our world upside down.
