Tangerine Hours

A human poetry

I bat my eyelashes, flick my hair

Occasionally shoo away the alley cat

Oh, look here now, don't mind the empty bottles

I was told it's good to have a busy day.

Do I look pretty in my tangerine dress?

Are my lips red enough?

Do tell me about your wife and kids

What is it going to be tonight? A slap or a kiss?

Turn off the lights, black and blue aren't pretty

In the dark we are same, you and I

The happiness that you seek

I pay for that with my murdered honor

I too had a doll, taken away not very long ago

Cover my mouth, Madam doesn't like my sobs

My tangerine dress, they said I bought it

Pardon me I pray, but that I fail to see.

sad poetry
