Talons
an acrostic poem

Swooping silently,
intent on capturing prey.
Long-winged descent on
evolved tips (as comb-like feathers cancel noise).
Non-suspecting mice scurry…
caught by talons, long and sharp; torn apart by owl, who, on
evening branch of yonder pine, preens and prepares to hunt once more.
