Tales of Torment: Signs Don't Lie
"Those of us who write do so in desperate hope that we're not alone." -Philip Yancey
these tales of torment are a telltale sign, of exactly what they tell-
some whisper, and some yell, but these are not stories to sell,
some are soft speakers and others cry out
there are dark truths, that exist in these tales of torment,
some hide in the artwork, hoping viewers don't find out
these tales of torment are not for sale,
books not to be judged by their covers
my eyes might lie, but the signs won't,
my smile might lie, but what i write in these lines don't
my voice might hide, but my diaries won't,
my heart might hide, but the books in my library don't
a collection like no other,
and free to read,
but not so easy to hear
these tales of torment bring truthful color to white lies
some sit in silence, and some scream to be read aloud
some are muffled speech and some are loud cries, but these are not stories to sell,
these tales of torment are telltale signs, of exactly what they tell

About the Creator
Josh Morgan
Personally, writing began as a creative outlet, to be a means of processing and venting emotion, but it has become so much more. Something I want not to be just relatable, enjoyable and a good read, but to reach someone who is in need.
